Basement & Bathroom Tile Installation in King City

Luxury Large-Format Tile Installation in King City
This King City project involved approximately 2,700 square feet of tiling across a large basement floor area, two custom bathrooms with showers, and a powder room. From the beginning, the goal was to create a clean, modern, and seamless finish using high-quality porcelain tile and strong attention to detail.
Before installation began, extensive preparation work was completed to ensure the best possible result. This included floor correction, self-leveling, and underlayment work to flatten and stabilize the surfaces as much as possible before laying the finished tile. Proper preparation is one of the most important parts of any large-format tile installation, especially when the final look needs to feel sharp, level, and consistent throughout the space.

Main Basement Floor
The main basement floor was finished using large-format 30" x 60" porcelain tile, giving the area a bold and upscale appearance. The larger tile format helped create a more open and continuous visual flow across the basement while reducing grout lines and contributing to a cleaner, more contemporary look.
Bathroom 1
In the first bathroom, we created a sleek and modern space using 24" x 48" stone-grey porcelain tile throughout the shower and surrounding surfaces. The shower niche was rebuilt to achieve a more seamless and updated appearance, and mitre corners were used to keep the edges crisp and refined.
The walls, floor, and shower surfaces were wrapped in matching tile to create a consistent, high-end finish. We also completed a large-format envelope-style shower base, carefully shaping the layout to work with drainage while preserving the clean visual lines of the tile. The final result was a sophisticated bathroom with a strong architectural feel.
Bathroom 2
The second bathroom, connected to the primary bedroom, was designed as a standout feature space. This shower included a custom bench, wrapped tile transitions, and detailed mitre corner work throughout. A dramatic 24" x 48" black-and-white panda-style porcelain tile was used to create a bold, luxurious finish with strong visual impact.
The half wall and shower areas were fully wrapped, helping the entire room feel intentional, cohesive, and custom-built. This bathroom became one of the signature features of the project.
Powder Room
In the powder room, we installed 24" x 24" tile, delivering a clean and elegant finish that complemented the overall design of the basement level. While simpler in scale, the powder room tied in nicely with the rest of the project and added to the polished feel of the completed space.
Final Outcome
This project came together as a full-featured, high-end tiling installation that showcased the impact of proper preparation, large-format materials, and precision craftsmanship. From the expansive basement flooring to the custom bathrooms and shower details, the finished result brought a modern and upscale look to the home while highlighting the quality of the work throughout.
