- Quote requestform: Your name, emailaddress, phone number, project address, and a description of your renovationproject. You choose what to share — only name and email are required.
- Contact form: Your name, email address, and themessage you send us.
- Email or phoneenquiries: Anyinformation you choose to share when you reach out to us directly.
- Website usagedata: Your IP address,browser type, pages visited, time on site, and the website that referred you.This is collected via Google Analytics and our server logs.
- Cookie data: Small files stored on your device asdescribed in our Cookie Policy. Essential cookies are always active; analyticsand marketing cookies require your consent.

03 Why we collect it and how we use it
- To respond toyour quote request: Weuse your name, contact details, and project description to assess your project,prepare a quote, and follow up with you. We won't use this information for anyother purpose without telling you first.
- To respond togeneral enquiries: Ifyou contact us through our website, we use your information to reply.
- To sendmarketing emails (with your consent): If you opt in, we may send you renovation tips, seasonalpromotions, or project showcases. You can unsubscribe at any time using thelink in any email.
- To improve ourwebsite: We useanonymized Google Analytics data to understand how visitors use our site —which pages are most visited, where people drop off, and what content is mostuseful. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google for thispurpose.
We will never use your information for a purpose that isincompatible with the purpose for which you submitted it, without firstobtaining your consent.
- Email and CRMplatform: Your contactdetails and enquiry are stored in our email system (Google Workspace) and,where relevant, our CRM tool, to help us manage and follow up on your enquiry.
- Analyticsproviders: Anonymizedusage data is shared with Google Analytics. We have enabled IP anonymization.Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Legalrequirements: We maydisclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect ourlegal rights.
04 Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share itonly as follows:
- Quote requeststhat did not proceed: Wekeep your contact details and project description for 18 months in case youdecide to move forward later. After 18 months, your information is deleted.
- Generalenquiries: Retained for12 months, then deleted.
- Marketingconsent records: Keptfor the duration of our marketing relationship plus 3 years, as required byCanada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
- Websiteanalytics: Anonymizeddata retained for 26 months per Google Analytics defaults.
If your enquiry progresses to an active project, additionalinformation sharing (with subcontractors, permit offices, etc.) is governed byyour Project Agreement and a separate privacy notice provided at that time.
05 How long we keep your information
- Quote requeststhat did not proceed: We keep your contact details and project description for 18 months in case youdecide to move forward later. After 18 months, your information is deleted.
- General enquiries: Retained for 12 months, then deleted.
- Marketing consent records: Keptfor the duration of our marketing relationship plus 3 years, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
- Website analytics: Anonymized data retained for 26 months per Google Analytics defaults.
06 Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withd raw consent for marketing emails at any time, and request deletion of your information where we have no legal obligation to retain it.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@buildnrgy.com. Wewill respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
07 Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect yourinformation — including TLS encryption for all data in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, butwe take our responsibility to protect your data seriously.
08 Children
Our website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do notknowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe aminor has submitted information through our site, please contact us at contact@buildnrgy.com and we will delete it promptly.
