Vaughan Bathroom Remodel with Travertine Tile

We renovated this residential bathroom with Centura Reverso porcelain tile — satin-polished on the walls and matte on the floor — an envelope-cut curbless shower floor, a built-in wall niche, a custom rift white oak vanity with smart storage, and five layers of lighting for a truly detailed, high-end finish.

Catagory

We transformed this residential bathroom into a modern, detail-driven space where every line, texture, and light source was planned with intention. From the tile layout to the custom millwork, the details in this bathroom are next level.

Key Features

Centura Reverso Porcelain Tile (RV620R)We used Reverso by Ceramiche Coem, a high-end stone-effect porcelain that mimics the raw back of a travertine slab with soft, blurred graphics. The satin-polished finish was used on the walls for depth and light reflection, while the matte finish was used on the floor for grip and a grounded, natural feel — same tile, two textures, one seamless look.

Reverso White Diamond Feature Wall (RVD360R)Behind the vanity, we installed Reverso White Diamond Textured 12" x 24" tile. The diamond-textured surface catches the light and adds dimension, turning the vanity wall into a subtle feature without overpowering the space.

Envelope-Cut Shower FloorThe shower floor was finished with an envelope-cut layout — large-format tiles cut on precise angles to slope water toward the drain while keeping the floor looking clean, continuous, and high-end.

Custom Porcelain Tile Vent RegisterInstead of a standard metal grille, the floor vent was cut from the same porcelain tile, so the register disappears into the floor and the tile lines flow uninterrupted.

Built-In Wall Shower NicheA recessed niche was built directly into the shower wall, tiled so the lines and pattern carry straight through it. It blends in so cleanly you almost don't notice it — until you need it.

Five Layers of LightingLighting was designed in layers so the homeowner can set the exact mood and function they need:

  • Main ceiling lighting for everyday use
  • A dedicated makeup spotlight at the vanity
  • Under-vanity lighting that creates a soft floating shadow effect
  • LED lighting beside the mirror
  • LED accent lighting in the shower, highlighting the niche

Each zone is on its own switch, giving full control over the atmosphere of the room.

Custom Rift White Oak VanityThe vanity was custom built in rift-cut white oak with purpose-designed storage, built-in wire management, and an integrated outlet that automatically shuts off when the cabinet is closed — clean, safe, and clutter-free.

The goal was a bathroom where the materials do the talking: one premium tile carried through the space in two finishes, warm natural wood, and lighting that adapts to real daily routines — from getting ready in the morning to winding down at night.

We planned the tile layout first so every line would carry through — across the floor, up the walls, through the niche, and even across the vent register. The shower floor was completed with an envelope cut for proper drainage, the niche was built into the wall framing, and the custom rift white oak vanity was built with integrated storage, wire management, and a switched outlet. Five independent lighting zones were wired and switched separately for full control.

The finished bathroom feels calm, warm, and seriously refined. The Reverso tile brings natural stone character with porcelain durability, the lighting layers change the entire mood of the room at the flip of a switch, and details like the tile vent register and blended-in niche show the level of craftsmanship in every corner.
